A face to face, interactive and engaging full day workshop for people who are not trained Counsellors but due to the nature of their job, find themselves in frontline counselling positions, responding to people in emotional pain, distress, suffering or experiencing a crisis.

feel more confident and certain in safely and effectively supporting people in distress or experiencing a crisis.
identify a range of basic counselling skills relevant to your role.
define the attributes required of an “accidental counsellor.”
empower the person in need to discover their own solutions and next best step.
use motivational interviewing techniques to ask strategic questions that help the person in need discover actions to help them move forward.
move from giving to receiving solutions.
reflect on and articulate the boundaries of your role.
assess when a problem needs to be referred.
identify & create evidence-based well-being habits for yourself and clients.
